The True History of the AMA

In order to understand the current state of affairs of medical practice in the USA, it’s vital to understand exactly how we got here. So, let’s put on our history caps and go all the way back over 100 years to the turn of the 20th century.

When Dr. George H. Simmons began in 1899 what became a 25 year reign as head of the American Medical Association (AMA), it was a weak organization with little money and little respect from the general public. The advertising revenue from its medical journal, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), was a paltry $34,000 per year. The AMA realized that competition was causing physicians’ incomes to dwindle, as the number of medical schools had increased from around 90 (in 1880) to over 150 (in 1903). Chiropractic had just been introduced into the mainstream, homeopathy was thriving, herbalists were flourishing, all the while regular doctors were unable to profit from their medical practices.

With the state governments reluctant to create laws restricting the various healing arts, Simmons hired Joseph McCormack (the secretary of the Kentucky State Board of health) to “rouse the profession to lobby.”  With McCormack leading the charge, the AMA began to bolster their ranks, preaching ethics (like not competing with other physicians or publishing your prices) and decrying “quackery” (anything that competed with regular medicine).

Simmons was shrewd enough to have the AMA establish a Council on Medical Education in 1904. This council’s stated mission was to “upgrade medical education” – a noble goal. However, the Council on Medical Education had actually devised a plan to rank medical schools throughout the country, but their guidelines were dubious, to say the least.  For instance, just having the word “homeopathic” in the name of a medical school reduced their ranking because the AMA asserted that such schools taught “an exclusive dogma.”

However, by 1910, the AMA was out of money and didn’t have the funds to complete the project. The Rockefellers had joined forces with the Carnegie foundation to create an education fund, and they were approached by N. P. Colwell (secretary of the Council on Medical Education) to finish the job they had started, but could no longer fund. Rockefeller and Carnegie agreed.

Simon Flexner, who was on the Board of Directors for the Rockefeller Institute, proposed that his brother, Abraham, who knew nothing about medicine, be hired for the project. Although their names are not very well known, the Flexner brothers have probably influenced the lives of more people and in a more profound way than any other brothers in the last century, with the possible exception of Wilbur and Orville Wright.

Abraham Flexner was on the staff of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. The Rockefellers and Carnegies had traditionally worked together in the furtherance of their mutual goals, and this certainly was no exception. The Flexner brothers represented the lens that brought both the Rockefeller and the Carnegie fortunes into sharp focus on the medical profession.

Their plan was to “restructure” the AMA and “certify” medical schools based solely upon Abraham Flexner’s recommendations. The AMA’s head of the Council on Medical Education traveled with Flexner as they evaluated medical schools. Eventually, Flexner submitted a report to The Carnegie Foundation entitled “Medical Education in the United States and Canada,” which is also known as the “Flexner report.” Not surprisingly, the gist of the report was that it was far too easy to start a medical school and that most medical schools were not teaching “sound medicine.”

The medical sociologist Paul Starr wrote in his Pulitzer Prize-winning book (The Social Transformation of American Medicine): “The AMA Council became a national accrediting agency for medical schools, as an increasing number of states adopted its judgments of unacceptable institutions.” Further, he noted: “Even though no legislative body ever set up … the AMA Council on Medical Education, their decisions came to have the force of law.” With the AMA grading the various medical colleges, it became predictable that the homeopathic colleges, even the large and respected ones, would eventually be forced to stop teaching homeopathy or die. And that’s exactly what happened.

Published in 1910, the Flexner report (quite correctly) pointed out the inadequacies of medical education at the time. No one could take exception with that. It also proposed a wide range of sweeping changes, most of which were entirely sound. No one could take exception with those, either. However, Flexner’s recommendations emphatically included the strengthening of courses in pharmacology and the addition of research departments at all “qualified” medical schools.

It is what followed in the wake of the Flexner report that reveals its true purpose in the total plan. With public backing secured by the publication of the Flexner report, Carnegie and Rockefeller commenced a major upgrade in medical education by financing only those medical schools that taught what they wanted taught. In other words, they began to immediately shower hundreds of millions of dollars on those medical schools that were teaching “drug intensive” medicine.

Predictably, those schools that had the financing churned out the better doctors. In return for the financing, the schools were required to continue teaching course material that was exclusively drug oriented, with no emphasis put on natural medicine. The end result of the Flexner report was that all accredited medical schools became heavily oriented toward drugs and drug research. In 1913, Simmons and the AMA went on the offensive even more strongly by their establishment of the “Propaganda Department,” which was dedicated to attacking any and all unconventional medical treatments and anyone (MD or not) who practiced them.

The purpose was to dominate the oil and chemical (pharmaceutical) markets, and the Flexner report gave both of these tycoons the “ammunition” they needed to achieve that goal. In the end, the Rockefeller/Carnegie plan was a smashing success. Those medical schools that did not conform were denied the funds and the prestige that came with those funds, and were forced out of business.

By 1925, over 10,000 herbalists were out of business.  By 1940, 1500 chiropractors would be prosecuted for practicing “quackery.” The 22 homeopathic medical schools that flourished in 1900 dwindled to just 2 in 1923.  By 1950, all schools teaching homeopathy were closed. In the end, if a physician did not graduate from a Flexner approved medical school, he couldn’t find a job.

This is why today our doctors are so heavily biased toward synthetic drug therapy and know little about nutrition.

Please understand that it is currently standard practice in the USA to simply dismiss any piece of information that punches a hole in any widely accepted explanation of a disturbing event by tagging the new explanation as a “conspiracy theory.” It’s time to put an end to this name-calling nonsense once and for all. It is absolutely accurate to say that conspiracies exist all around us every day of our lives and in all walks of life.

As a matter of fact, conspiracies are a very common part of life. Children conspire to play jokes on their friends, football teams conspire (in the huddle) to outmaneuver their opponents; the rich conspire with one another to get richer; governments conspire about virtually everything. As a matter of fact every single person who has ever been convicted of a crime by a jury is the subject of a conspiracy theory; only in these cases a jury has accepted the theory as truth after seeing the evidence. The fact is that any time two or more people are involved in setting private plans to do anything, you have a conspiracy. And as research has revealed, the Flexner report of 1910 was the beginning of a conspiracy to limit and eventually eliminate competition from non-pharmaceutical, non-patentable treatments for disease.

During the infamous Spanish flu epidemic of 1918-19, it has been estimated that 25 to 50 million people died worldwide. In the USA alone, 550,000 people died, which was approximately 10% of the people afflicted with the flu. Homeopathic physicians documented then more than 62,000 patients treated with homeopathy resulting in a mortality of 0.7%. For people who were sick enough to be hospitalized, conventional medicine had a mortality of 30% while with 27,000 documented hospitalized cases, homeopathy was reporting a mortality of 1.05% (Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy 1921; 13:1028-43).

So, in light of the fact that the homeopathic success rate was many fold higher than the allopathic success rate, it is crystal clear that there must have been ulterior motives for closing the homeopathic hospitals, which were actually far superior than the allopathic hospitals in the treatment of the Spanish flu. This is the “icing” on the conspiracy cake.

Moringa Oleifera – Miraculous Superfood

Moringa oleifera is a tree brought from the mind of God to the hands of man. It was recognized by the National Institutes of Health as the Botanical of the Year for 2007, and praised again in 2011 and 2012. It is valued worldwide for its ability to treat over 300 diseases. It has the ability to retain high concentrations of electrolyte minerals, allowing it to stay internally hydrated in the driest of conditions. Africans have honored it with names that translate to: “Never Die,” and “The Only Thing that Grows in the Dry Season,” and “Mother’s Milk.” This plant has saved more lives in Third World countries than any other.

It’s an unfortunate fact that our own “civilized” food supply no longer feeds us well nutritionally. Our food is comforting, and tastes good, but as far as our cells are concerned, too much of what we eat is over-processed, denatured and acidic, and ends up depleting our bodies— robbing us rather than feeding us. We all need to supplement our diets in the most efficient and economical means possible. The Moringa tree is working in remote areas to solve hunger and malnutrition.

Here are a few of the 539 medicinal, chemical actions that Moringa gives to the body:
Antiulcer (9), Vasodilator (9), Hypocholesterolemic (14), Antitumor (10),
Cancer-preventive (19)
, Antiviral (9), Hypotensive (9), Diuretic (8), Fungicide (8),
Antiseptic (7), Hepatoprotective (7), Antiasthmatic (6), Antiparkinsonian (7),
Laxative (5), Antiatherosclerotic (6), Anxiolytic (6), Hypoglycemic (5), Antiherpetic (6),
Antihistaminic (5), Antirheumatic (5), Antifatigue (5), Antimenopausal (4), Sedative (4),
Antiprostatitic (4), Antidepressant (8), Cardioprotective (8), Antiosteoporotic (5),
…and 358 more!

Of course, one of the main things that jumped off the page to me was the fact that Moringa has 19 cancer preventative effects and 10 antitumor effects. According to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s website, “In vitro and animal studies indicate that the leaf, seed, and root extracts of MO have anticancer (3) (4), hepatoprotective (10), hypoglycemic (12), anti-inflammatory (13) (14), antibacterial (18) (19), antifungal (20), antiviral (21), and antisickling (37) effects. They may also protect against Alzheimer’s disease (29) , stomach ulcers (24), help lower cholesterol levels (25), and promote wound healing (30).”

All I can say is WOW! When mainstream cancer clinics start to tout the benefits of a natural botanical, then we know that there must be something to it! But that’s just the tip of the iceberg with Moringa!

With its 90 nutrients, 46 antioxidants, 36 anti-inflammatories, and more, Moringa has proven to be the most nutrient-dense and enzymatically active botanical known to man.

The Main Nutritive Groups and Valuable Dietary Compounds in Moringa:

  1. Protein constituents or amino acids ( the building blocks of protein). There are 20 amino acids necessary, and found in human proteins, of which 9 are essential. All 9 are found in Moringa, properly sequenced and in the optimal ratios.
  2. Minerals such as Calcium, Chloride, Chromium, Copper, Fluorine, Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Selenium, Sulfur, and Zinc.
  3. Fats, as vegetable oils: Beneficial Omega (3,6,9) oils.
  4. Vitamins, many of which with antioxidant properties: Vitamins C, D, E, F, and K, provitamin A (beta-carotene), Vitamin B (Choline), Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamins B5, B6, and B12.
  5. Other phytonutrients and antioxidants such as Alanine, Alpha-Carotene, Arginine, Beta-sitosterol, Caffeoylquinic Acid, Campesterol, Carotenoids, Chlorophyll, Delta-5-Avenasterol, Delta-7-Avenasterol, Glutathione, Histidine, Indole Acetic Acid, Indoleacetonitrile, Kaempferal, Leucine, Lutein, Methionine, Myristic-Acid, Palmitic-Acid, Prolamine, Proline, Quercetin, Rutin, Selenium, Threonine, Tryptophan, Xanthins, Xanthophyll, Zeaxanthin, Zinc.
  6. Plant hormones with anti-aging properties in humans: Cytokinins such as Zeatin.
  7. In total, there are over 46 antioxidants and 36 anti-inflammatory compounds all naturally occurring in the Moringa plant.

Today’s western diet has double the caloric intake of a consumer in 1965 and we are receiving 75% less nutrient value for current calories consumed. Seeking daily, quality nutrient supplementation is no longer an option but a requirement for health.

The Facts About Cholesterol

Ask any American what causes heart disease, and 99% of  the time the answer will be “high cholesterol.”  You see, cholesterol has been vilified and is now regarded as a “scary scary” substance that must be lowered at all costs. However, if you speak with gerontologists that specialize in elderly medicine, you will quickly find that almost all of the most elderly patients have “high” cholesterol levels (according to the supposedly “normal” standards). But these patients are still alive and many of them are in very good health and are very active for their age.

Believing all of these cholesterol myths, Americans decreased their intake of good fats and oils (like coconut oil, fish oil, olive oil) and started consuming more vegetable oils and margarine (a “trans fat”).  This diet has caused thousands of deaths from heart disease, as have the statin drugs which supposedly prevent heart disease, but in reality have numerous deleterious effects.

Statins are considered to be “HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors”, that is, they act by blocking the enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in your liver that is responsible for making cholesterol. There are over 900 studies proving the adverse effects of statin drugs, including anemia, cancer, chronic fatigue, acidosis, liver dysfunction, thyroid disruption, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and even diabetes!

Statins have been shown to increase your risk of diabetes through a few different mechanisms. The most important one is that they increase insulin resistance, which contributes to chronic inflammation (the common element of most diseases) and actually results in heart disease, which, ironically, is the primary reason for taking a cholesterol-reducing drug in the first place!

Perhaps most importantly, cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease.  Your body needs cholesterol.

What Is Cholesterol?

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that’s found in all the cells of our body. It has a hormone-like structure that behaves like a fat in that it is insoluble in water and in blood. Cholesterol travels through your bloodstream in small packages called “lipoproteins” which are made of lipids (fats) on the inside and proteins on the outside.

The cholesterol percentage of each lipoprotein varies depending upon the specific type of lipoprotein. Cholesterol comprises 20% of high density lipoproteins (HDLs), 46% of lipoprotein (a), 46% of low density lipoproteins (LDLs), and 22% of very low density lipoproteins (VLDLs).  If your primary care giver is treating you for high cholesterol and does not know these facts, then you should find another primary caregiver.  It is imperative for your health that your care giver completely understands all of the ramifications of the treatment as well as the cause for cholesterol blocking your vascular system in the first place.  Once again we must stress that treating the cause rather than a symptom is needed to maintain health.

What you are almost never told is that cholesterol supports many extremely important functions in the maintenance of good health.  Below is a small list of cholesterol’s functions.

Biological Functions of Cholesterol

Perhaps one of the most important functions of cholesterol is acting as an essential precursor to all of our steroid hormones, which play a crucial role in our health and without which we cannot live. Even low levels of these hormones can cause serious health problems. The fact is that when cholesterol levels fall below 160 mg/dL, cholesterol deficiency symptoms may begin to be severe enough to be noticed. One of the first problems often noticed is adrenal insufficiency, which may cause allergic reactions (that have never occurred before) to foods or plants. Sex hormones may also become detrimentally affected, thus causing the person to become hypo-gonadal or to have severe imbalances (ratios of testosterone to estradiol) and have very low DHEA levels. All of these may lead to more serious diseases, some of which may be life threatening.

Optimal serum cholesterol levels actually help to prevent some types of cerebrovascular diseases and suboptimal cholesterol levels have been associated with an increased risk of cerebrovascular diseases.  Cholesterol is also an essential component of cell membranes and, helps maintain the integrity of cell membrane fluidity (which is constantly changing do to fluctuations of dietary fat consumption). Cholesterol also plays a particularly important function as a major constituent of the myelin sheath, which acts as insulation of neurons. It should be noted that cholesterol is so important to bodily functions that the cell membranes actually manufacturer it in direct response to the body’s demands.

Cholesterol also creates many valuable byproducts that are required for complete digestion. These byproducts include cholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, and deoxycholic acid, all of which are essential components of bile, which is needed for fat digestion and their absorption into the intestines.  Cholesterol plays a large role in the function of the immune system; low cholesterol levels may increase the risk of several types of cancer. Cholesterol is actually secreted by glands in the skin which help protect the skin from infections from detrimental bacteria and fungi. Cholesterol also acts as an antioxidant and possesses powerful antioxidant properties.

It has also been shown through several studies that optimal cholesterol levels are required in order to prevent aggressiveness (excessively low cholesterol levels increase the incidence of aggressiveness). It would have been interesting if the studies had analyzed sex hormone levels as well, since cholesterol is required for testosterone synthesis and it is well proven that low testosterone levels also increase aggressiveness. We realize that most physicians (and most of the public) have bought into “‘roid rage” theory, implicating excess testosterone with rage. However, science and peer reviewed studies have proven the exact opposite to be true.  Aggressiveness increases when testosterone drops below normal levels or when the ratio of testosterone to estradiol becomes low.

Cholesterol is also required to deal with stress, so you can see its importance in our Western society. Cholesterol accomplishes this task by being an essential constituent of all adrenal gland hormones. These hormones include adrenaline, cortisone, and cortisol which are released by the body in response to stress in order to counteract its effects.  It should also be noted that excessive stress causes production of high quantities of endogenous cholesterol. Remember that cholesterol is the precursor in the formation of all steroid hormones.

In the presence of sunlight, the body can use the photolytic action of UV light on the cholesterol in the skin cells to make vitamin D (specifically vitamin D3), which is essential for our immune system and also maintains the balance of calcium and phosphorus for strong bones and teeth. Vitamin D3 has also been shown to protect against several cancers as well as being implicated in aiding in the prevention of Rickets, bone loss, cancers, and numerous other illnesses. For more information on vitamin D, please visit http://www.vitamindcouncil.org.

Perhaps most importantly, cholesterol is an essential component in the machinery that triggers the release of neurotransmitters in the brain. Mother’s milk is especially rich in cholesterol and contains a special enzyme that helps the baby utilize it. Babies and children need cholesterol-rich foods throughout their growing years to ensure proper development of the brain and nervous system.  Cholesterol is very concentrated in the brain, where it contributes to the functioning of “synapses” (tiny gaps between cells which allow nerves to communicate with each other). Cholesterol may also help to prevent depression, since low cholesterol (under 160 mg/dl) is associated with an increased risk of depression. Once again, remember that cholesterol is the precursor of testosterone and testosterone has been shown to be one of the most effective antidepressants for both men and women.

March Against Monsanto

Last Saturday, May 24th, along with my friends — Dr. Irvin Sahni, MD and Mike Adams (the “Health Ranger”) — I was privileged to join the March Against Monsanto rally in Austin, TX.

And wouldn’t you know it, evil Facebook, now openly engaged in outrageous censorship and violations of the First Amendment, is suspending accounts that post photos of children holding up protest signs during the March Against Monsanto rally. Facebook labels these posts as “abusive.”

So, posting a child’s picture on Facebook is “abusive” but pumping them with highly toxic materials in vaccinations and spraying toxic chemicals all over our skies for our children to breathe, poisoning our food, and poisoning our water is OK?  Seriously, where do these people come from?

The rally, by the way, was a huge global success. Millions participated across over 400 cities to protest the most evil company in the world, MonSATAN.

Here’s a photo of me, Mike Adams (the “Health Ranger”), and Dr. Irvin Sahni MD.

Score your Sheeple Quiz

To score your Sheeple Quiz, simply count the number of times you answered “A” to the questions above.

If you answered “A” 10 times or more…

You are a total news-watching, gullible fairytale swallowing Sheeple! Be sure to keep taking those medications and watching more network news. Don’t bother thinking for yourself because you seem to be incapable of accomplishing that.

If you answered “A” fewer than 10 times…

You are sadly Sheeple-minded but there is hope for your rescue. Learn more about the world around you and train yourself to think critically so you can depart from the herd mentality.

If you answered “A” fewer than 5 times…

MSG Kills Your Brain

MSG (monosodium glutamate) is a taste enhancing and hydrolyzed vegetable protein. At the time of discovery, MSG was thought to be safe since it was a natural substance (an amino acid). The amount of MSG alone added to foods has doubled in every decade since the 1940′s.

In the words of my friend, Dr. Russell Blaylock MD, “In 1957 two ophthalmologists, Lucas and Newhouse decided to test MSG on infant mice in an effort to study an eye disease known as hereditary retinal dystrophy. When they examined the eye tissue of the sacrificed animals they made a startling discovery. MSG had destroyed all the nerve cells in the inner layers of the animals retina which are the visual receptor cells of the eye. Ten years later John W. Olney, M.D. a neuroscientist working for the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis repeated Lucus and Newhouse’s experiment in infant mice. He found that MSG was not only toxic to the retina, but also to the brain. When he examined the animals brains, he discovered that specialized cells in a critical area of the animals brain, the hypothalamus, were destroyed after a single dose of MSG. At this time the concentrations of MSG found in baby foods was equal to that used to create brain lesions in experimental animals and in all these experiments, immature animals were found to be much more vulnerable to the toxic effects of MSG than older animals (this was true for all animal species tested). The FDA refused to take action after Dr. Olney informed the FDA and it was only after his testimony before a Congressional committee that the food manufactures agreed to remove MSG from baby foods. But instead of adding MSG, added hydrolyzed vegetable protein, instead. Today EXCITOTOXINS are still added to our food, usually in the form of caseinate, beef or chicken broth, or flavoring. In experimental animals ‘MSG babies’ are found to be short in stature, obese and have difficulty reproducing. This effect only becomes evident long after the initial use of MSG exposure. More detailed studies have found that ‘MSG babies’ have severe disorders involving several hormones normally produced by the hypothalamus.”

MSG is an excitotoxin. These are substances, usually amino acids, which react with specialized receptors (neurons) in the brain in such a way as to lead to the destruction of certain types of brain cells. Here’s how: When neurons are exposed to these substances, they become very excited and fire their impulses very rapidly until they reach a state of “extreme exhaustion.” Several hours later these neurons suddenly die as if the cells were excited to death. Humans lack a blood-brain barrier in the hypothalamus, which allows excitotoxins to enter the brain and cause damage.

How does this happen? “MSG enters the brain past the blood-brain barrier and triggers neurons to open their calcium channel. The glutamate causes the cell to remain stuck in the open position then calcium floods into the cell in large amounts. This triggers the cell to react in emergency mode and starts its special pump that will start pumping out the excess calcium using up large amounts of energy (ATP), the cell swells up with excess calcium and eventually the cell is depleted of energy and dies within two hours. The pump couldn’t pump out the excess calcium fast enough. (It’s like trying to bail water out of a boat with a large hole in the bottom. You use up a ton of energy and eventually the boat is filled and sinks). The cell shrivels up and the body’s defense mechanism sweeps away the dead cell debris.” (LINK)

Disorders such as strokes, hypoxic brain injury, hypoglycemic brain damage, seizures, migraine headaches, hypoxic brain damage, ADD, ADHD, and even AIDS dementia have been linked to the damage created by excitotoxins like MSG.

No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so the scientists have to create them. They make these morbidly obese creatures by injecting them with monosodium glutamate (MSG) when they are first born. The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, causing rats to become obese.  MSG creates a lesion in the hypothalamus that correlates with abnormal development, including obesity, short stature and sexual reproduction problems.  MSG has also been shown to kill brain cells as well as to cause nausea, vomiting, migraine headaches, depression, and heart problems.  Unfortunately, MSG is often disguised under other names; thus, you may not be able to detect it in a list of ingredients.

Some synonyms for MSG are “Glutamate Textured Protein” or “Glutamic Acid Yeast Extract” or “Gelatin Yeast Nutrient” or “Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein” or “Natural Flavorings.” They hide MSG under many different names in order to fool those who catch on. Always remember that MSG by any other name is just the same.

Food companies learned that MSG could increase the flavor and aroma and enhance acceptability of commercial food products, so it is doubtful that they will ever quit using this brain killing additive to our food supply. As a matter of fact, the food industry and representatives of the glutamate manufactures have joined together to fight anyone who would dare criticize the use of flavor enhancers. They have even formed a special lobby group to counter any negatives about their products. This group is called the “Glutamate Association” and is made up of representatives of major US food manufacturers and the Ajinomoto G. based in Japan (the chief manufacturer of MSG and hydrolyzed protein).

Take a quick trip to your kitchen and check the pantry and the fridge. You will realize that MSG is in everything: soups, the chips, the ramen, the hamburger helper, the gravy, the salad dressings, the corn oil, the broth, and so on.

If you want to avoid MSG, then you MUST learn to make your own seasonings and NOT purchase the “contaminated crud” at the grocery store. Don’t be lazy…just take the time to do it. Your family’s health is worth the extra effort.

For those of you who have been following and enjoying my weekly radio show (“Outside the Box” Wednesdays on the Robert Scott Bell Show), I just created a YouTube video from our show on May 29th. Here is the video below. Enjoy!!

You may have heard the slogan, “Laughter is the best medicine.” I wholeheartedly agree. So, here’s a little humor to make  you smile. ;-)

OK, enough for this time. But stay tuned. My next monthly newsletter will have more great info.

And please remember that CANCER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A DEATH SENTENCE!

Thanks and God bless.

Found your article on high cholesterol interesting. But you did not give me enough info on how to get my Dr off my back. I originally had over 400 cholesterol, but its now between 250- 330 & fluctuating. I believe I inherited this as I know it’s not from my diet.

Your missing link may be water and lack of exercise to get you down even lower. I’m probably where you are too, but I have hopes after reading “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water” and applying what I learned, I can get my numbers even lower than with just eating a great diet. He suggests walking a minimum of 1 hour per day, and drinking 1-2 glasses of water 30 minutes before eating; I started doing that, and I don’t have to take digestive enzymes anymore. He also suggests a minimum of 64 ounces of water a day, but read it because there is so much more. Anyway, good luck to you!

I know it seems dramatic to you to print white letters on black background; however, I really, really, really wish you would NOT do it. It is difficult to read, and I would probably read through your entire newsletter if it were black letters on white background. As it stands, I don’t get much use out of your newsletter, and that’s a shame. I suspect there’s a lot I’m missing because it hurts my eyes too much.

      JO, I agree with you.

Ty, it would also be good if one could adjust the font size. I find myself squinting as I try to read your articles and it’s hard on my ol’ eyes when there’s so much I want to read.

Thanks for your consideration to these points.

Down the bottom right hand side of the internet explorer screen is a magnifying glass with (usually) 100%. click it and change to 200% or 400% and then neither the published colour nor the font size makes any difference because its so much easier to read.
        Just a thought ;o)
